I’m a reading a book in which a quiet, passionate conversation is described as “moth words”. I’m really stuck on that. Sometimes description is a way of describing a thing, and sometimes it is a way of naming a thing. You can always tell which one is happening because after hearing the name for something you will struggle to find any other words that fit it with such perfect precision.

Moth words.

Fluttering, velvety, dark, fuzzed around the edges, hurling themselves softly toward the nearest source of heat.
