lots of bands are naming themselves with numbers these days. i wonder what that’s about. probably not unrelated to our widespread comfort with digital identity supplanting legal identity, or at least a commentary on that phenomenon.

yes, this is the sound of being plugged in, and of needing to be plugged in to survive. of turning on the read receipts. surrendering to the need for information – what were you doing? where? who with?
