Every time I sleep in a king sized bed it takes me a long time to get to sleep, because I can’t stop stretching out in every direction – north to south, east to west, diagonal. I starfish, I roll around a bit – just enjoying how extravagantly large the bed is in relation to my body.

It’s fun to feel completely unconstrained and a little excessive sometimes. Like you’re getting a little more than you really need. It is a big, safe feeling. Songs with lots of power chords sometimes feel that way, too.

Amsterdam rockers Pip Blom have a debut album coming out on May 31st called Boat. In the meantime, they’ve released an EP (Paycheck) that you can nab here. Aaand they will also be making their US debut at SXSW this year, so check it out if you’re in Austin next month!!
