I drove back from the desert last week with a bag of kumquats and A Horse With No Name on repeat for the whole two hour drive. Seriously considering heading back so I can do it again, but with this song.

Buck Meek is perhaps best known as guitarist and one of the founding members of Big Thief, but this year the talented musician is breaking out to record a solo album showcasing his twangier side. Cannonball, the first single from that record, is a meandering affair, tripping along and catching the wind, slowing down to admire the dunes before rolling on into the sunset.
