Soko is a French indie-pop singer-songwriter. In the heart-wrenching video for her cover of Yves Simon’s Diabolo Menthe, she revisits a series of failed relationships, hovering just out of sight, powerless to change their ill-fated trajectories. Her voice is somber. The guitars are resigned to telling their sad stories.
