i had a pretty awful week. the kind that left me ignoring all my friends’ friday night texts to sit alone on my couch with cheap television and cheaper beer. but then i finally decided to give this new sufjan mixtape a proper listen and i heard the demo of john my beloved and i had this image of sufjan sitting alone in his living room late one sad friday night singing into his iphone what would eventually become an album full of solace and beauty. and that made me feel a little better.

this isn’t a very poetic or in-depth post i just thought if anyone else out there is feeling really hopeless maybe you’d like a soothing song to play.
