The St. Louis rapper demonstrated this dynamic fluency in “Lemon Pon Goose“, an impressively varied jam that sticks in my mind as one of the most memorable tracks of the summer.
With the chill of winter, Smino’s production has slowed and congealed, like cooling lava, into the smooth, propulsive R&B of “blkswn”. Here’s looking forward to what 2017 has in store for the young artist.
