TUNES // Soft Hair – Lying Has To Stop

I struggle to describe Soft Hair’s first single, Lying Has To Stop. Partly because I keep getting creeped out by their album art and excusing myself to go check Instagram instead. But mostly I struggle because I want to say that it’s a really unsatisfying soul tune, but I don’t want that to come off as an insult. I want to say that it’s uncomfortable, but not in, like, a super negative way. Uncomfortable in a neutral-bordering-on-positive sort of way. Uncomfortable in the sort of way where, if you can get through the first listen, you might just put it on repeat all night.
