SOFI TUKKER – Hey Lion

Sofi Tukker describe their new track as a “sonic snack,” a characterization which is kind of adorable, a little confusing, and not wholly inaccurate. Unlike Drinkee or Matadora, tunes where the listener was plunged headfirst into a sonic jungle, Hey Lion floats coyly above the treetops. It is also the first single the duo have released in English, giving them a chance to show off their lyrical chops in a song about challenging power and questioning hierarchy. And while Hey Lion may play like an appetizer rather than a meal, that doesn’t mean it won’t satisfy; this tune is every bit as catchy as its predecessors.
