TUNES // Charlotte Adigéry – Paténipat
Post by Misha
the beat grabs you immediately, like a heartbeat at speed; steady, healthy. blood pumping and safely contained.
you are invested in its pace, its evenness, its dependability. its intimidating beauty, like a runner in a sports drink ad.
then something comes rattling loose around it. possibly fear. definitely an unsatisfiable urgency. the blood comes rushing into your ears as the seams burst. everything splits open all at once. the chorus is running circles around the verse and the verse has grown snakes for arms. the dizzy spells come on one on top of the other.
it will stop as suddenly as it began, leaving holes in the walls and a shakiness that no steadying hand can hold.
